About CCE
About the Center for Creative Education

The Center For Creative Education, Inc. is an educational organizationutilizing the Montessori method of education in its program. CCE implements our Montessori program in the following way:
  1. Multi-age level classrooms
  2. Use manipulative materials that are self-correcting
  3. Classrooms setup to facilitate self-directed and cooperative learning
  4. Offer students choice
  5. Global, multi-cultural and scientific curriculum
  6. Peace education
  7. Mastery /outcome-based learning.

Lower elementary classroom

The Montessori classroom is organized into several areas by curriculum. In the younger 3 to 6 year-old environment these are every-day-living skills, sensorial, language, math, geography, science and art. The older level of the 6 to 9 and 9 to 12 year old class curriculum areas consist of language arts (reading, literature, grammar, creative writing spelling, and handwriting ), mathematics and geometry, history, geography, science, art, music and movement activities. Classrooms also have a library in each environment.
Each curriculum area is made up of one or more shelf units with a wide variety of manipulative materials on display and ready for use as the children select them.

Our Mission

The mission of the school is to create a learning environment which provides a balance of intellectual, physical, social, emotional and spiritual evolution fostering the holistic development of each child through the Montessori philosophy of education.

Goals and Objectives of Our Program

The main objectives of the Center for Creative Education is to provide a stimulating environment and a nurturing relationship which assists students in developing independence, responsibility, initiative, self discipline and a strong self-esteem there by, encouraging creative thinking, fostering a love of learning, and an appreciation of the diversity of the human spirit.

Specific Goals for Our Students

The specific goals that we have for the students in our program are:
  1. Realize their creative potential.
  2. Become aware of their essence.
  3. Cultivate a positive attitude toward learning.
  4. Advance respect for self, others and the natural world.
  5. Foster an attitude of gratitude.
  6. Practice developmentally appropriate independence and responsibility.
  7. Develop concentration and basic skills necessary for learning.
  8. Work with a wide variety of activities in the Montessori curriculum.
  9. Experience success.
  10. Promote socially acceptable behavior.
  11. Create a conscious community within the classroom.
  12. Develop compassion, acceptance and an open-mind.
  13. Foster curiosity and the joy of discovery.

Schools Hours of Operation


Morning session for kindergarten students from 8:30 to 11:30 A.M.
Afternoon session for kindergarten students from 12:30 to 3:00 P.M.
Elementary full-day sessions from 8:30 to 3:00 P.M.

Parent Programs

In order to serve the families of enrolled students the school offers the following:
  1. Parent Forums set up through the school year to discuss topics of common interest.
  2. Parent Education. Exploring the Montessori philosophy and method and the specifics ofthe materials used to enhance the learning process.
  3. Parenting classes which assist parents in raising caring, capable and responsible children.
